 More Success For Mark Hylton.

Mark Hylton has been playing in this area for many years in the local leagues and of course for Stafford County, but it is in the last few years that he seems to have suddenly stepped up a grade in both the standard of darts that he is  playing and the standard he is competing against.

Last August (2007) he played against Andy The “Hammer” Hamilton in the annual Lichfield Darts Open held at Enotts Club where he narrowly lost in the Semis. (Enotts have a Bob Anderson Exhibition/Presentation this weekend.) Andy is competing in the Grand slam Of Darts this week at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall.

2008 has seen Mark go from one success to another with him winning the Derby Blue Pool Singles, the Boston Bonanza Singles, the Newtown Open Singles, the Stafford Super League Singles and the Worcester Open.

Although breaking his leg recently at a local pub, November has brought another couple of big wins for Mark with him winning the £500 first prize at the Kenilworth Wardens Open on November the 8th beating Dennis Smith and then winning the top prize of £400 in the Chirk Open (Wrexham) beating Robbie "Kong" Green on the 15th of November.

Mark Hylton is definitely gaining more recognition as a skilled player because he now has a sponsor in the shape of Martindale Home Improvements and a brand new professionally designed and built web-site by atfb. www.designbyatfb.com Photographs for Marks new site were taken by Vivienne Bailey.

Some of Marks exploits are now written about on his new web-site by darts fan and computer software professional, Joe Norton, who lives in Framingham, Boston, USA. Joe even managed to conduct a long distance interview with Mark that can also be found on Marks new web-site and it gives a little more of his background that some local players might not know about him.
